Hassan bin sabah was a resident of tus . He was iranian by generation and ismaili shia by religion . In history , this sect is also khown as batiniya . He is said to be from yemen.

He  was from the hamiri family . Hassan bin sabah and  nizam-ul-mulk tusi and umar khayyam were classmates in their childhood. During his stay , he entered the circle of ismaili religion and remove to egypt .

The fatimid caliph of egypt , mustansar ballah , was impressed by her intelligence and appointed her as his special personal ismaili midwife in the eastern countries .

Date Of Birth

In 1090/483 AH , he captured a fort of alamut (shaheen ka nishiman) in the mountainous region of mazandaran and made it the center of secret activities of his ismaili religion . It was geographically a very safe place .

So , sitting here, he organized the ismaili movement , which later became khown as the batani moverment , and called himself its Da′-ul-Da′aa ( the greatest Da′i ) and appointed a provincial Da′i al-kabar under him in every province . There were many Da′ is under Da′i-ul-kabir who were always on the move and traveling and spread in far and near areas .

When the Da′i was promoted , he was given the name “rafiq ” in the circle of people of his rank i.e., in the class of people  “rafiq ”, circle  Da′i al-kabar  was also appointed  separately. Along with this organization , he organized another movement which is called fidayeen ( head salesman ) .

These people would not have hesitated to sacrificed their lives as the personal slaves of hassan bin sabah . This movement was also completely secret and its secrecy was such that Da′i  would have committed suicide if caught but was not ready to reveal the secret .

He was ordered to finish his work by pluging a dagger into the opponent′s chest on the order of hassan bin sabah . Hasan bin sabah used to infuse them with cannabis to make them commit criminal acts . That is why western historians called them assassins. He was a conmmon and cruel person. 

Hasan bin sabah was a very humble, kind and cruel person. He adopted a peculiar method to promoted the religion of ismaillia . He built a vast and beautiful garden around his abode , the scenery of which was very attractive and inspiring .

In history , this garden is the paradise of hassan bin sabah! it became khown as arzi . In this garden , he had gathered the most beautiful nine young girls of the time from around the world , by legitimate or illegal means or by abduction , there apparently no one was allowed to enter.

Hassan Bin Sabah was ayyash

The devotees of hassan bin sabah used to gather around him ,so on some occasion , he would intoxicate two or four of these devotees by intoxicate two or four of these devotees by intoxicating them with cannabis . When he regained consciousness , he would be stunned when he found himself in a group of well-spirited girls.

Those girls would give him the impression of paradise , mentally and spiritually under the influence of intoxication , considering it as the honor of his leader hassan bin sabah .

After some time , these young beautiful girls would make them intoxicated with cannabis in one way or another , and they would drink these bowls of jam as koshar , thinking these girls as prostitutes , and once again fall asleep in a state of unconsciousness .

Intoxicated and unconscious , they would be picked up from these from  and thrown out of this so-called paradise .

On the basis of these observations , the devotees had a firm belief in the spiritual perfection of hassan bin sabah and considered him as their guide and imam and considered obeying his every his every order as a part of faith .

Hassan bin sabah considered all muslims to be infidels except himself . Therefore , killing their chiefs , nobles and rulers was also a form of worship in addition to political necessity .

Therefore , when he had to kill a person , he would call one of the devotees and promise him a visit to his paradise on earth .

He was also assured that if he was killed while performing this duty , then surely he would ge an example of heaven . As many islamic celebrities , princes , caliphs , kings and scholars were killed in this era , the fidayeen of hassan bin sabah had a in killing them .

The killing of nizam-ul-mulk tusi was also the work of this group . Even after that , the series continued . Among his successors , rashiduddin sinan was a famous esotericist .

Alamut was located in the midst of difficult mountains . Therefore , common people would rarely pass here . Due to this reason , it bacame impregnable .

The batinians had built more fortifications around it . The famous philosopher nasir al-din tusi was also an ismaili bacause of ibn al-qami and he was also one of those who invited halagu khan to attack baghdad .

These ismaili centers eventually came to an end at the hands of halagu khan and batani Da′i  was copied in large numbers . His other center was the term . In 1260 AD , they were completely wiped out by capturing this center of the inners .

After their defeat , the batanis assumed a very mysterious and secretive and made their activites peaceful .

According to them , the imam is the servant of allah . He is the crown prince of the world and religion . According to their beliefs , imam knows everything . Therefore , whether he is absent or present , the process of his guidance continuous automatically .

The imam′s  action is continuous . No nominee can be common sense or normal . Obedience to it is mandatory in all circumstances . These beliefs were the secret of the success of esotericists and the hashishians .
