IMADUDDIN ZENGI

Imaduddin zangi , whose bravery and ability led to the rise of the zangi dynasty . His father , amir qasim-uddaula astar , was a slave of malik shah saljuqi , who was appointed governor of aleppo by malik shah because of his bravery and ability . After the death of malik shah , he supported barkiya roq in khana gensi .

In the beginning , tash had a heavy burden . He defeated barkiarq and was accidentally captured and killed . However , imad-ud-din somehow managed to escape from prison and he soon joined barkiarq . Soon , barkiarq dafeated all his rivals .

He prevailed and bacame  for his training in view of services and elevated him to a high position at a young age . This sultan , in view of his father’s loyalty , amir kar buqa , one of his father’s associates , called him to him and gave him a high position in the army .

In the capaign to capture the city of amad , imad al-din was the amir of his memna ( right wing of the army ) . At one stage in the war , amir kur buqa was captured by the anamy . The demonstration made sultan bar gaya roq appreciate it .

After the death of amir kar buqa ( ziqad 495 AH ) , amir jigarmish further appreciate imad-ud-din and married him to one of his grand daughters . The new ruler , sultan muhammad , became angry with the old amir bikrami and arrested him .

Due to civil war between the muslim and the seljuk government during the battle against the crusaders , the continued continued to atack the islamic world , and imad-uddin bacame very uncomfortable with their atrocities and fought many battles against them .

In the battle of tiberies in 508 AH ,  he showed unparalleled bravery and broke through the ranks of the enemy and reached the gate of the city crusade were also defeated .

The sultan’ s bravery and intelligence paved the way for his and the rise of imaduddin became one of the prominent nobles of sultan mahmud ‘ s   amara . He also traveled to baghdad with the sultan in 521 AH ( 1126 AD ) .

Sultan i appointed him the wali ( governor ) of mosul so that he could resist the crusades , give him the title of atabak on this occasion and appointed him as ataliq of his sons .

Imaduddin corrected the administation of mosul province and made his house obedient to the order of the nobles and ended the war . In 1128 AD ( 522 AH ) he capture aleppo and crossed the euphrates river , captureing important forts and gathering forces for jihad against the crusadsers .

The crusader’ s occurpation of the fort of atharb ( al -asarb ) , just four miles from aleppo , had created a difficult situation for the muslims . Showed bravery , ( 524 AH -1130 AD ) it is started  by ibn khaldun that the bones of 60,000 slain crusaders could still be seen after 70 years .

After that , imad-ud-din attacked the fort of harim and the christians , fed up with the severity of the siege , made peace on the condition of paying tribute .

JIHAD AGAINST THE CRUSADERS

After these successes , sultan imaduddin zangi  mukhi moved to europe  . That is a, new wave of religious wars arose and 534 AH ( 1140 AD) , another christian army under the leadership of caesar  rome and the king of france entered the islamic world , increaseing religious sentiments and showing their terror and brutality .

The city of buzaa ( buza ) was the first victim of shahran , after conquring it , they killed all the men and enslaved the women and children . After that , they proceeded towards the fort of shazer , where the ruler called sultan imad-ud-din for help .

The sultan diligently surrounded the basieging crusaders from the outside , and upon them fled in such a way that they fled , leaving behind their armor , other eqyipment , and many dead bodies .

After that suLtan imad ud-din marched his army on the fort of irqa and conquered it . Later , he faced the combined army of the king of jerusalem and the king of france in bahrain , and the two kings managed to escape from the field .

After that , the sultan occupied the fort of bahrain and the crusaders forces of germany and constantinople returned unsuccessfully and reluctantly . In contrast to the cruel behavior of the crusaders , the sultan adopted the method of amnesty was announced and those who wanted to leave city were allowed .

After the reoranization , the crusaders attacked aleppo , but the governor appointed by the sultan did not allow them to capture the city . Sultan imad ud-din ‘ s greatest victory was the capture of adessa , which was to be considered the fifth holy city after jerusalem , antioch , rome , and constantinople were , selene  II  joscelin ruled .

In view of the military importance of this fort , various islamic forces had been trying to conquer this city but were unsuccessful . In november  1144 AD , sultan imaduddin reached under the walls of the city by demolishing the forts along the way and finally succeeded in capturing the city december 23 , 1144 AD.

The sultan dismissed the crusaders but announced to the civilians that those who would lay down their army would not be molested .

After completing the capture of the city , the sultan also issued order to released all the prisoners , and the crusaders were driven away by beating his ears , because this was the city where the crusaders established the first crusader state . This was the last victory of sultan imaduddin .

He besieged another fort , but martyed a conspirator killed him in his sleep at night .The muslim world lost its great leader  (541 AH – 1146 AD )
